The history of Rolex is inextricably linked to the visionary spirit of Hans Wilsdorf, its founder. At a time when the pocket watch was the order of the day, he began to dream of a watch worn on the wrist. Since then Rolex has accompanied divers to the deepest of oceans, Sir Edmund Hillary to the summit of Everest, and Roger Federer to 16 Grand Slams and counting... Where could a Rolex accompany you? Indeed, Rolex has been part of the Langfords family for some 30 years now, and over that time we've amassed a wealth of experience in matching the perfect timepiece for your lifestyle. Come into our Brisbane City store and try a Rolex on for size today.

Created in 1935 by Hans Wilsdorf, Tudor at the time represented a modern take on the principles he had first instilled into the creation of Rolex. Nowadays, Tudor still push boundaries when it comes to contemporary design and cutting edge technology, yet they have the depth of experience to possess 'classic' models such as the Heritage Advisor. Whatever your speed, we welcome you to come into our Brisbane City store to try a Tudor on for size.

The Langford family have been collectors of Rolex watches for 4 generations and know first hand the joy of owning a classic piece. The items listed below have been inspected for defect by our watchmaker and are in condition as described. If you would like more detail, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Langfords has been facilitating the smooth service and repair of Rolex and Tudor timepieces for over 30 years. As official service agents for Rolex Australia, let us guide you through the process as Rolex's dedicated team of watchmakers overhaul your watch's movement and meticulously restores the lustre of its case and bracelet.

A unique serial number is imprinted on the case of every Rolex and Tudor watch. This serial number is unique to your watch and its movement. Rolex use this number to not only track your watch, but to record its service history and ascertain its factory configuration.

Before carrying out a service, Rolex conduct a thorough diagnostic examination of your watch. Their Swiss-trained watchmakers extensively test and inspect the movement to determine exactly what service procedures will be necessary to ensure your watch meets Rolex’s stringent performance requirements. Langfords will then contact you with the supplied details of this report as well as a quote.

Once you give us the go ahead, Rolex will commence servicing, beginning with disassembly of the movement. Each component is ultrasonically cleaned in specially formulated solutions and any worn components are replaced with genuine parts supplied directly by Rolex Headquarters in Switzerland.

The same keen attention to detail that is devoted to servicing the movement of your Rolex also goes into servicing its case and bracelet. Any worn or damaged components are replaced with genuine Rolex parts. Your case and bracelet are then expertly refinished and ultrasonically cleaned to restore their brilliance.

The heart of your Rolex watch movement is its balance wheel, which has a frequency of over 690,000 beats per day. To ensure timekeeping precision, the watchmaker meticulously adjusts the balance wheel and electronically tests its timing accuracy. Using the most advanced lubricants, each functional component of the movement is carefully lubricated to minimise friction and prevent wear, ensuring continuity of performance. Your Rolex is then thoroughly tested and carefully observed over a period of several days to verify its performance.

The case is carefully reassembled and all the seals replaced. The watch case is rigorously tested to ensure it meets pressure-resistance requirements. A three-step testing process – a vacuum test, a compression test and a condensation test will reveal the presence of even the smallest amount of moisture inside the case and guarantee its waterproof nature.

Rigorous quality checks are carried out at each stage of the servicing process and during a final check before your watch is returned to us. The power reserve, timing accuracy and aesthetic appearance of your watch are verified one last time against manufacturing specifications to guarantee the highest possible standard of quality for your Rolex. Upon return of your Rolex, Langfords will notify you. After a complete service, this work is covered by a two-year worldwide Service Guarantee. It's all part of the industry-leading service of Rolex.
